Video Podcasting

vzaar allows you to create your own video podcast feed that you can syndicate through iTunes. This feature is only available to paying customers.

If you want customers to view your videos on their PC via iTunes, or on the go via their iPod, iPhone or iTouch then you can create an RSS feed that they can subscribe to. In order to create your feed you'll need to:

1. Log into your vzaar account.
   
2. Visit the My Videos tab.
   
3. You'll see here a Video Podcast feed that we have automatically set up. You can highlight and copy that address or right click on it and "copy" the address.
   
4. You'll then want to post this link on your website or where ever you wish to advertise your video podcasts. Many customers will do this by embedding the link behind a button, banner or graphic on their website that encourages the customer to click.

What happens next?

1. When clicked on, the feed will automatically open up iTunes on the customers PC (iTunes is therefore required and it can be downloaded for free here)
   
2. The videos will automatically start to download, in mp4 format, to the customer's iTunes library.
   
3. Once complete, the customer will be able to manually drag that content on to their iPod, iPhone or iTouch.

Submitting Your Podcast to iTunes

If you want to submit your video feed to the iTunes library then that is possible. You can follow steps on how to do this here.

Technical Notes

1. The videos will be downloaded in mp4 format.
   
2. The customer will now have a saved copy of your video on their PC.
   
3. Different Apple products (ie iPhone, Apple TV etc) have different specifications for viewing video. It is therefore possible that certain versions of your video, for example a HD video, or a video of a certain size, will not play. You can review these specifications, product by product here:
