Video Upload Tips

We all know that (sometimes) videos can take a long time to upload. But you don't need to sit helplessly by. There are a few things you can do to speed everything up.

Take action now. Here's our advice...

  1. Internet Connection Speed

Different connections run at different speeds. The faster your speed the less time it will take for your file to upload.

Test your connection speed here. If you’re on a slow connection it will take longer for your files to upload.

Our tip: wired connections tend to be more reliable. If you’re experiencing long upload times or errors try switching from Wi-Fi to a wired connection.

  2. File size

The larger the file the longer it will take for it to upload. But, this will vary depending on your Internet connection speed.

Our tip: Reduce the video file size with HandbrakeA free tool which lets you compress file sizes.

  3. DropBox uploader Our Dropbox allows you to put your video in a specified folder in your DropBox, we will then upload the file to your vzaar account following your encoding settings. You can read about how to setup and use our DropBox uploader Here.

Remember, if an upload does actually fail you will see an error message.

Our tip: If you're experiencing lots of errors try our Dropbox Uploader. To find out more about when you should use this feature  get in touch and we'll talk you through it.
